Do not display active post

Hi,
I have the widget displaying at the bottom of my posts after singular pages, as a means to promote other posts on the website. Every so often, the widget will display the page that the user is already actively viewing.
Is there an easy way to skip the current page, so that the widget displays only other posts and not the one of which is active?
