    I clicked update and site instantly went down (white screen of death)

    I restored the wp-content -> plugins -> ultimate-member folder with a backup I had from yesterday and now my site is working again. It took me a good 2 hours of searching on the internet to figure out how to do that…

    So save yourself the headache and wait until they make a good version..

    @zo1234 Don’t even bother with the Ultimate Membership Pro – it’s a headache.
    I’ve tried this as well as UserPro. Wasted my time and money on it.

    The problem with these plugins is that they become too big, robust and overloaded with functionality. It’s usually a one man’s band, and because they are just too busy developing extra features, they don’t even have enough time to update the very basic functionality.

    Now after the crash, member directory and profiles can take 4 to 12 seconds to load. I looked into my error logs on my host and I have these errors now. Any ideas?

    Thanks for the hotfix! Seems to be working for me now too.
