Do not cache part of a page?

  • This is my situation. I have a quick cache enabled and all works fine. I’m however running into a few performance issues at the moment at high traffic moments during the day. The cache expiration is st to 7 minutes right now and i’m thinking that i’d like to increase this to 1 hour to monitor performance. The thing that is stopping me is that i have a part of my homepage that’s pulling XML that displays something that needs to update immediately.

    My question is – is there a way to not cache a part of a page? Just a code block? It seems like this would be unlikely but is there any other alternatives?
