• Every time my multi author blog site went down the host blamed my site saying my WordPress with multiple authors is crashing his hosted server. I have about 50 authors sharing a blog to write there, though on any day not more than 5 or 6 are writing and posting articles. Is wordpress not able to handle multiple authors as per my hosting providers information (Livingdot.com). today the site crashed and he immediately has taken all my wp blog sites down and refused to bring them up until I went for his dedicated server solution which he says is the only alternative. the traffic on all my websites combined is about 6000-7000 page hits a day.

Would appreciate any help as my sites are down, authors and readers are emailing me all over and I have no clue what I should do.

  • IMO, sounds like you’re being as a scape goat. We have folks with 5k clients on the WPMu platform on shared hosting accounts over in mu.wp.org without any issues.

Either that or there’s something wrong with your setup.

Your host just got a whole bunch more money out of you (for that dedicated server) by lying to you. Go find a better host asap….

For comparison, take a look at https://donklephant.com/
