• Hello. I am sure that some people will find the title of this post amusing, or perhaps they will consider it rhetorical. However, I am very serious about this. Let me explain.

I run a self-installed version of WordPress on my residential server. On my web server, I have enabled both “memcached” and “APC”. Despite this, connecting to and logging in to my blog using Firefox is extremely slow. In contrast, on my iPhone, the connection and login process is rather quick.

I don’t know if this is due to a problem with Firefox, or due to so many search engine bots connecting to my blog, or what, but it has really become annoying.

So I was wondering if despite the fact that I have enabled both “memcached” and “APC” on my web server, maybe I need something that is more WordPress-specific, such as your plugin. Incidentally, I have tried both WP Super Cache and W3 Total Cache in times past, and they both gave me problems and headaches.

So my question is this: do I really need to install a WordPress-specific caching system such as your plugin? Or will doing so cause some kind of conflict with “memcached” and “APC”?

    Thanks in advance.

On my web server, I have enabled both “memcached” and “APC”. Should I still install WP Fastest Cache, or will your plugin conflict with memcached and APC?

wpfc does not work with memcache APC. I don’t advise you to use them. wpfc creates static html file so php and mysql does not work. but other cache systems do not do it. you should disable them and enable wp fastest cache.

Okay, I disabled memcached and APC, and I am now testing WP Fastest Cache. On the CDN settings page, I chose Jetpack’s CDN servers. Does it matter which of those four URLs I choose? I chose the first one.
