Do I need to use the free Patchstack plugin connected to my free Patchstack account to get vulnerability disclosure emails as early as possible? Or is the free version of Solid Security enough to get vulnerability emails and notifications in WordPress as early as possible?

Hi @ayntk, we’re glad you’re taking proactive steps to secure your site!

Both plugins can notify you of detected vulnerable plugins/themes/WP core and will send you the same information since Solid Security is integrated with Patchstack’s vulnerability database. As for the delivery speed, I cannot say for sure.

Still, please note that Solid Security’s Site Scan will also notify you of detected weak User Security-related areas, rogue WP installs on the server (sites with outdated WP versions), and whether Google Safe Browsing has included your site to their blacklist.

If you don’t mind the duplicate emails, you could enable both plugins, but it’s up to you. I suggest using them both at first to confirm. You can also enable Solid Security’s Security Digest so you will receive less emails coming from our plugin.

    Hope this helps!
