Do I need to submit the XML sitemap created by Yoast to Google?

    Yes, it is good move to submit XML sitemap in Google as it would quickly index your website. Please double check the XML Sitemaps setting before submitting it to Google.

    Does the Yoast SEO plugin already submit the sitemap to Google though? Then I’d be submitting a sitemap that was already submitted for the site.

    No, Yoast SEO isn’t submitted your website to Google and you need to do this. If already submitted one then it’s okay.
