Do I need to install Jetpack Social separately?

    Do I need to install Jetpack Social separately or is the module in Jetpack enough? How do I see the status in the module? Does the limit apply to 30 posts or 30 shares (1 post can generate multiple shares)?

  • Hi @mobiflip,

    You can use Jetpack Social with the core Jetpack plugin module. You don’t have to install the Jetpack Social plugin separately.

    To see how many shares you have left without the Social plugin installed, you can check just before you publish or update a post while editing it by clicking the Jetpack icon and expanding the Share this post section. You’ll see a message that says something like, “You have XX shares remaining…”.

    To answer your last question, the limit applies to 30 shares. When you post something on your site and share it to, say Facebook and Twitter, this counts as a single post but two shares.
