    Hello,

I just wanted to know what the true value is for setting this option in wp-config: define(‘FORCE_SSL_ADMIN’, true).

I already have a Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate installed on my website and a redirect in my apache virtual hosts file to force all traffic over https.

Do I still need to set this setting in wp-config? If so, why?

Thanks for your help and guidance!

    All my best,

    Joe

That constant basically causes a redirect to HTTPS for all login requests within WP itself. If you’re redirecting externally it doesn’t matter if you set that to true or not.

    Got it.

    Thank you!
