• Hi there,

This may be falling back on previous experience with other CMS’s but I’m wondering if this is true with WP? Some CMS’s tell you to delete say the install folder for example, this is a security measure. I may be blind but I didn’t see any info about deleting anything after install. Do I need to and if so what? Thanks!

    Deb

Sorry, I just realized I put this in the wrong topic category. Doesn’t loke like I can edit, delete or move it either. My apologies.

PS: I just now found the EDIT link.

Hi deb, no, you don’t need to delete anything after installation because wordpress’ installation routine checks to see if you already have a valid configuration.

Nobody can reinstall it once it’s already installed unless they have access to remove your config file… and if they have that kind of access, then they could do much worse than just reinstall wordpress.
