Do I need to add Google and Pinterest scripts to mu-plugin folder for multi-site

I’ve got the Pro Multi Site version of the plugin and have just enabled Multi Site on a WP installation.
As it stands right now, I have the postToPinterest.php and postToGooglePlus.php files uploaded to the wp-content folder.
Should they be there or do they need to be in the mu-plugins folder?
