Do I need permission from Amazon to show reviews on another site?

  • Hi,
    I sell on Amazon but also via an independent website using Woocommerce. The site still links to Amazon FBA via a plugin ‘bridge’ between Woocommerce and Amazon FBA – so Amazon is still the only seller.
    Does anyone know if I need permission from Amazon before using a plugin or any other method to access my Amazon reviews and show them on another site? I don’t want to break any of their rules, and I can’t seem to find a concrete answer.

    Hi, Oliver.

    While I can’t speak directly for Amazon, it is my understanding that the Product Advertising API Terms of Service intends for you to use the API to advertise/display Amazon products on sites that are not Amazon. In fact, in order to use my plugin you are required to have an Amazon Product Advertising API account and, thus, agree to operate under their Terms of Service.
