  • Hey there, @roadlink! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

Depends on what you need for your website.

Google For WooCommerce and Google Analytics are plugins with different functionalities.

Google for WooCommerce syncs your store with Google Merchant Center. This helps you promote your products and possibly get more sales.

Google Analytics plugin connects it to your store so you can get better data on your Google Analytics reports.

So, if you are interested in having Google Analytics on your website, you do need the plugin.

If you just want to connect it to Google Merchant Center, you just need Google for WooCommerce.

I hope this was clarifying. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help or if you have any questions.

    Have a wonderful day!

As mentioned in here, google for facebook also follows purchase event.
In this case do I have 2 plugins for same job?

    Hi @roadlink

The Google for WooCommerce plugin does indeed sync your store with Google Merchant Center and can track purchase events. However, the Google Analytics for WooCommerce plugin offers more detailed tracking specifically for your WooCommerce store, such as sales, product views, and customer behavior on your site.

While there is some overlap in functionality, the two plugins serve different purposes. Google for WooCommerce is more focused on promoting your products on Google, while Google Analytics for WooCommerce is more about tracking and analyzing your store’s performance and customer behavior.

So, if you want detailed analytics specifically for your WooCommerce store, it would be beneficial to install Google Analytics for WooCommerce. If you’re only interested in promoting your products on Google and tracking purchase events, then Google for WooCommerce should suffice.

I hope this clears up any confusion. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
