Do I need Akismet if comments are disabled?

    Hi.

    Comments are disabled on my site and have been since the very beginning. Akismet tells me that it’s blocked 359 comments all time though, 81 within the past 6 months. Is this the total across all my WordPress installs that use Akismet or for just the one site that I’m currently looking at?

    Do I need Akismet installed if comments are disabled on my site?
