Do I need a software to change the color of a background

  • I found a theme that I like but the only problem it has pastel backgrounds in the page as well as the headers that say categories and archives are in pink. I was wondering if there is a way to change those colors on the theme without the use of a software, mainly because I don’t know what software to use.

  • You don’t need any softwares to do that. what you have to do is goto Appearance-> editor, there you can find style.css or *.css file (which filename depends on your theme) just edit that file. To do this you should have little bit of knowledge about html. It’s so easy.Just brush up some minutes about html and css. then you can change color scheme of your site.

    good information is there a reference link i can go to find the basic html and css through a wiki or something?
