I am using OceanWP with Elementor. I used the OceanWP customizer for header, footer, top bar, menus, site identity. No custom CSS has been added.

Elementor was only used to make pages.

I would like to keep the theme updated, but don’t want to lose changes.

Do I need a child theme?

If no child theme is needed:
Can I update OceanWP without losing anything?
Can I update Ocean Extra without losing anything?

Hello, no, a child theme is only if you want to edit some parent theme files, in your case, if you just use the customizer settings, you don’t need a child theme and you can update the theme and plugins, you will lose nothing.

I also added the menus in Appearance > Menus. Still no child theme needed?
