Normally you do not have to manually remove the .frm files. If you turned on the option on the Wordfence Options page to delete all data when deactivating, and the .frm files still existed after that, it is most likely a MySQL bug with InnoDB tables — I think we’ve only seen it twice before, but there are reports of similar cases with other software, very infrequently, when a table is deleted.

I don’t recall if the message is exactly the same, but it was a while ago, so it might not have been MySQL 5.5, for the last couple of users who mentioned it.

I think most of the users in that other thread just did not choose the option to remove data upon deactivation — that option is important, since WordPress troubleshooting for most plugins and themes involves deactivating all plugins.

It sounds like you fixed the problem, but let us know if there is anything else!

I appreciate you for your very precise answer even though it’s not the issue of Wordfence. I decided not to worry about it ??

    Thanks Matt!
