do i have to manually approve of legitimate comments?

    I was under the impression that legitimate comments {ie; non-spam comments} would be automatically approved w/o my needing to approve it. Is there a way to do this so that I’m freed up from approving people’s comments? Thanks

    admin > Options > Discussion. Check your settings!
