DNS or Hardcoding Problem

    Hi all,
    I have recently loaded my site to my new domain. Now the site itself links to the domain but when I click on subpages like “About me” it relinks to the site before.

    To get this more clear here is my domain: https://www.srportfolio.de.
    When you click now on menu and go to “about me” it redirects to https://froggy.bplaced.net/portfolio/ …

    This means that google will start to index things using that url which I don’t want.

    I already tried to change the worpress adress, site adress under “General Settings”, but that didn’t work at all.

    How can I fix this? And would you be able to explain step by step as I’m still new to all this.

  • Using what method you loaded your site to new domain? Your new domain contains only one page which is your home page. If try to access portfolio via this new domain, it is giving me 404 page not found error.

    For Example
    here https://www.srportfolio.de/portfolio/

    I changed the domain settings under my webspace/hosting site (bplaced.net). So they asked me for the domain name which is srportfolio.de, for the home directory which is /portfolio/ and the type (cname).

    I entered froggy.bplaced.net under the resource record data settings of my domain provider.

    I didn’t change anything under wordpress itself or under my ftp server.

    I hope I could answer your question to help find an answer.
