DNS changes for ip

  • The DNS I have forwarded through godaddy is resolved correctly and accesses my page. It then turns my URL into myipaddress/wordpress instead of mydomain.com/wordpress. I run the server off my own ubuntu server edition CPU, can anyone tell me if this is a DNS issue, wordpress issue, or port forwarding issue?

    It seems like its a server setting.. but Im not entirely sure what’s wrong. Any suggesstions would help ?? thanks.

    I should mention that I tried to change site address on wordpress dashboard. Seems to stop images from loading. I usually just hardcore the functions.php file with update_option so I can log back into the dashboard.

    are you behind a router?
    are u putting the dns address in your webserver box, in your router, or both?
