I’m loving the DMS Guestbook. I will be using it for a guest book for our Camp Bethel website and am currently using it in a customized way for a Prayer Request form on two church websites.

I am not having any luck using html tags in the message body though.

I’m using the example given on the Manage DMSGuestbook page, but it’s breaking the page.

Message box: HTML tags must be embedded in

(e.g.
<b>text</b>
)

Here’s the exact code I’m using.:
If you would like to view the Guest Book Archives, please
.

    Any suggestions anybody?

    Hi gnfoster

A homepage user can’t use html tags in the message field on the guestbook page.
Except the admin could post-edit a message with html tags in the DMSGuestbook -> Manage panel.

Daniel, thanks for this great plugin.

I also wrestled with the HTML tag problem. You are correct that the admin can post-edit with html tags from the Manage panel. However, I found it only seems to work if you include ALL of the text between
and
on a SINGLE line. Any linebreaks between the
/
pair will cause the HTML tags to be displayed as plain text in the message.

Also, gnfoster, re-reading your post, you might want to enter your instructions for going to the Guest book Archives on the actual Guest Book page (id = ????) . That would display your message above the actual guestbook, which I think might be what you are trying to do.

Thank you Bob for the Feedback.
