• Thanks for the plugin.

I know asked before but this is critically important to my user behavior and flow –

is there a fix/hack/snippet to allow default shortcode [dms] links to open a new window? I’ve spent 2 hours on this already and its killing my project

I tried [dms target=”_blank” ] and it didn’t work – even checked to make sure the quotation marks were clean (don’t copy and paste from html).

I’m going to find the reference in the php files and make a hard edit – not a good idea if plugin gets updated, but maybe next update will have a fix for this.

when I have the edit done – I’ll re-post here

The plugin author certainly put a lot of effort into developing this plugin.

Different methods are used to create the [dms] versus [dms_manual…] shortcodes and it is beyond my amateur slacker/hacker skillset to make edits to either add the target=”_blank” function to the [dms] shortcode or to change the “default” behavior

I think they could make the change very quickly – lets just hope they revisit supporting the very useful plugin

    regards
