    Hello!

I’ve set up all needed things on my hosting level – SPF, DKIM, DMARC. When I send email via Roundcube (hosting email client) or Outlook, I have DKIM: ‘PASS’ in that letters. SPF and DMARC also PASS, of course.
If I test via mail-tester, I get ‘Your DKIM signature is valid’ with all details of DKIM signature and public key.

Also I’ve set up WP Mail SMTP to send via Custom SMTP. And when I send some letter via website, then it always has SPF and DMARC – PASS, but there is no DKIM at all.

I’ve checked it in Google email (‘see original’) and also here: https://www.mail-tester.com
I have 9/10 score and only 1 clear problem:

Your message is not signed with DKIM

DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) is a method for associating a domain name to an email message, thereby allowing a person, role, or organization to claim some responsibility for the message.

Could you please help me to find some clues to fix the issue?

  • Hi @mszaitsev,

    Thanks for reaching out!

By “Custom SMTP”, if you are referring to “Other SMTP”, then please know that the Other SMTP mailer does not use a dedicated API, which can lead to potential errors based on your website hosting settings. In cases where ongoing issues arise while using the Other SMTP mailer, we generally recommend switching to a transactional mailer option.

If you are using a Gmail account or a paid plan for Google Workspace (formerly G Suite), I’d recommend using the Google/Gmail mailer to send emails.

You can learn more about this here: https://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/a-complete-guide-to-wp-mail-smtp-mailers/#Google_Workspace_Gmail.

I hope this helps! Thanks! ??
