• If I log in as the creator of my WordPress site, or if I access the site as a registered user, all I get when I click DK PDF’s pdf download button is the following error message in a new window:
    “Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.”

This happens if the DK PDF Settings / Action specifies “…new Window” or “Download…”.

Also how would I select for my users which pages I offer for them to download and which pages I do not want them to download?

    I’m on a MacBook Pro / OS 10.10.5

    Hi wp00plpl,

Follow these steps and tell me if the problem persists:
    – update DK PDF to the latest version (1.6)
    – in DK PDF Settings / PDF Button, check Open PDF in new Window and click Save Settings.

    About this:

Also how would I select for my users which pages I offer for them to download and which pages I do not want them to download?

can you elaborate a bit more, I don’t understand what you mean, thanks.

    Best.

    Thanks for your response.

I get that same error message whether the DK PDF Settings / PDF Button / Action: is set to “Open PDF in new Window” or to “Download PDF directly”. Yes, I did click the {Save Settings] button.

Suppose I have a WordPress site with 10 pages, each of which my users can access. Pages 1 thru 5 each contain content which might be useful for users to download as a PDF file. Pages 6 thru 10 however contain no content useful for users to download so I don’t want to clutter them with useless PDF links. How can I set up DK PDF to place a PDF download link on each page 1 thru 5, but NOT on any page 6 thru 10?

    Hi wp00plpl,

I’m going to need more info about the server error, do you have access to server error log files (normally they are in the root of your FTP)?
we can see the errors, a 500 error can be for many reasons (php memory_limit…)
you can write to me at [email protected]

For conditionally showing the PDF button, go to DK PDF Settings / Post types to apply and select your desired post types (post, page or custom post types).
Then individually disable the button using the checkbox: https://wp.dinamiko.com/demos/dkpdf/doc/disable-dk-pdf-button-in-single-post-types/

    Best.
