    Hey,

I installed the Divi Torque addon a few days ago for my project of rebuilding my website. It looked like the perfect solution for what I needed and looked forward to upgrading to the Pro version. However after using it to build my new landing page I ran into trouble. I could no longer save my progress – the autosave worked so nothing lost but I couldn’t save progress from there.

Trying to access the site on the front end gave me a Fatal Error: Uncaught Type Error. First thing I tried was to deactivate Divi Torque and all the issues were gone. Reactivating it recreates the issues. I’ve scoured the internet for solutions – increased my PHP Memory, cleared my caches and much more. Nothing seems to work.

If I weren’t so happy with what Divi Torque had helped me create on the landing page I would have dropped it and moved on by now.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @mxpgolf!

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been experiencing trouble with the Divi Torque addon. We understand how frustrating it can be when something you were excited about using ends up causing problems.

To help you resolve the issue, I recommend downgrading the plugin to version 3.5.8, which can be downloaded from our website. This should resolve the issue you’re currently facing.

In addition, could you provide more details about the fatal error you’re seeing? This will help us investigate the issue further and ensure that we can provide the best solution possible.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We’re committed to providing a great user experience and are always here to help if you need further assistance.

    Best Regards,
    Fahim Reza

    Hi Fahim,

Thank you for getting back to me. I tried Downgrading the Plug-In another day – I think I saw it in another topic here on the forums – and it didn’t make any difference.

Tried the same thing this morning and got this message during the downgrade –
Warning: set_time_limit(): Cannot set max execution time limit due to system policy in /customers/8/8/3/mxpgolf.se/httpd.www/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-upgrader.php on line 473

I’m trying to figure out how to change that as I write this – however I find it surprising that I’ve never gotten this error message before installing Divi Torque, and I’ve been through quite a few addons the last couple of years.
I’ve left the addon on for now and you can access the page to see the error message right here. That should show you the Fatal Error message. On the back end all that changes is that I can’t save my progress after editing the page.

    Hello Max,

Thank you for keeping me updated on the issue you’re facing with the plugin downgrade.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing this difficulty.

Regarding the error message you’re seeing, It’s possible that the Divi Torque addon is triggering this issue, but we’ll need to investigate further to confirm this.

Thank you for providing the link to the page with the Fatal Error message. I’ll take a look and see if I can identify the root cause of the problem.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.

    Best regards,
    Fahim Reza

Hello, I am experiencing exactly the same issue as above. It is related to the Image Carousel… It worked really well for a day, and then it crashed the site. I deactivated the plugin, and the site became available again. Any idea how to fix it?

    Many thanks….
