When using Yoast on my Divi sites the mobile menu (hamburger) and icons (for callout boxes, social media, etc) will randomly break. For example, the mobile hamburger menu will render as a lowercase ‘a’ the arrow on my buttons will render as ‘5’ and social icons or callout box icons will render as boxes with ‘X’ through them. I can correct this problem temporarily by going to Divi–>theme settings–>Builder–>Advanced–>Static CSS File Generation and selecting ‘clear’ to clear the cache. I can also turn off this setting altogether, but it slows down the site. I sometimes have to do this multiple times daily. As such, wondering if there was a setting on Yoast I could alter to prevent this, or if this is something your dev team could look into. Thanks for your support here! Love Yoast, but I probably can’t use it on any of my Divi sites anymore…

Yoast SEO does not deal with stylings and actually does not add any custom CSS on the front page, it only responsibly outputs the meta information and schema on the page source.

We understand that you suspect it might be a Yoast SEO plugin modifying your theme Hamburger menu. While there are no any settings within Yoast SEO to fix this we would like some more information.

    – When you run the Content Analysis scan, are any JavaScript errors appearing? If any error seen, can you describe us or send us the screenshot highlight the error?
    – Does the issue resolve if you clear your cache and cookies?
    – Does the issue resolve if you use a different browser such as Chrome or FireFox?
    – If you have any browser plugins/extensions, does disabling them resolve the issue?
    – Also, can you make sure you are using the latest WordPress version 5.8.3? If not, can you it update and retry?

Further, if this issue persists, I suggest performing a conflict check further.

Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict, is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty.

Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

If you do not feel comfortable to do this yourself or if this does not solve your issue, our Yoast SEO Premium plugin comes with one year of (technical) support.
