Divi Site Once A Filter is picked it changes the layout

Trying to create a great visitor experience. Spent quite a bit of time setting up custom variables, etc. Whenever you use a filter the layout of the page completely changes. Also, when you uncheck it does not reset that checkmark? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would pay someone to help me. Thanks for looking into it
