Divi conflict with latest Wordfence version

    It looks like the latest Wordfence update 7.4.0 is causing some unintended behavior with the Divi builder.

    If I’m in the backend page editor and click on the gear icon to edit any of the page content, it immediately opens a preview page in a new tab and navigates to the new tab. Navigating back to the backend editor causes the preview page to reload. Clicking anywhere on the backend editor page outside of the editor box causes the preview page to reload.

    Trying to save the page causes a general Divi failure message.

    Disabling Wordfence eliminates the problems. Re-enabling it causes them to return immediately.

    There is nothing in the error logs to indicate any problems, so I’m stumped as to what the issue is. Scan is totally clean. It only started occurring after the client updated Wordfence.

    Just wanted to mention it in case others are having the same problem.

    I finally had the opportunity to try this on two sites that were having the same problem, and putting WF into learning mode fixed it for both of them.

    FWIW, both sites are hosted by SiteGround if that helps.

    Hi! I have the same problem, but in my case turning off WordFence doesn’t solve the issue. So maybe it is something wrong with Divi and not WF?
