• Divi 4.0 has a Theme Builder that lets users customize the search results page. When Relevanssi is activated I get “No Results Found.” When I deactivate Relevanssi my search results work.

I reached out to Elegant Themes and they said that I need to reach out to the plugin developer.

    Thank you for your help.

Unfortunately I don’t have access to Divi 4, so I have no idea what’s happening behind the scenes to make Relevanssi searches fail. It’s likely something Divi does that is not compatible with Relevanssi. Does the Relevanssi admin search (Dashboard > Admin search) work? That’s a good way to check if the problem is with Relevanssi or the theme.

I’ve contacted Elegant Themes to see if they can provide me a Divi license so I can check out what’s up with this.

Thanks for the reply Mikko. The Relevanssi admin search works fine… I’m sure it’s with the theme. Hoping they give you access to the theme so you can take a look. I appreciate the help.

If they don’t, I guess I’ll just have to bite and buy a license, Divi is after all very popular and also a fairly common source of bigger and smaller compatibility issues.

I did get a copy of Divi 4.0.3, and it seems to work just fine with Relevanssi. So, if you’re still having problems with Divi, I’m going to need more details to figure out what’s wrong.

    I should have explained.
With the theme builder you have to create a template for the Search Results page, add a custom body, and use the “Blog” module with “Posts For Current Page” selected. It’s kind of an odd way to do it, but it’s the way they’ve got it setup now to customize the look of the search results.

    Detailed instructions:
Divi -> Theme Builder -> Add New Template -> Check “Search Results (at bottom of list) and click Create Template -> Add Custom Body -> Build Custom Body -> Build from Scratch -> Add a New Row -> Add a Blog module -> Check “Posts for Current Page” …. and then save everything.

When that search results template is enabled you get no search results with Relevanssi. If either the Relevanssi plugin or the Divi custom search results template is disabled the search results work.

    Thanks!

Ok, I took a closer look on that and yeah, that’s just not the least compatible with Relevanssi. There’s zero chance of making that work with Relevanssi searches, Divi is dipping so heavily into custom queries and whatnot, it’s just impossible to fix.

    Hey there,
I ran into the same problem and the Divi Team is looking at it.

They can definitely fix this if they want to.
