This is possibly a silly question but my problem is that Bluehost do not allow SSL certificates on add-on domains. The website that I’ve added this plugin to is an add-on domain and I want to purchase the eway plugin, which requires SSL cert.

What I am wondering is about the feasbility of somehow diverting the payment process to a page on my primary website, which has an SSL certificate? Or is this ridiculous? Other suggestions to get around this would be appreciated.

You would have to divert the entire checkout experience, so the only thing that would be on the add-on domain would be the product pages with purchase links that point to the main domain.

You can create custom add to cart links that go directly to the checkout page and add the item to the cart at the same time.

    Would that work for you?
