Ditty News Ticker on mobile devices

  • Are there any known issues with your ticker appearing when viewed on a mobile site? I’m working on making our site responsive through CSS (as opposed to WPTouch) and I think either 1) the ticker text isn’t appearing (only the header appears) because I’m not done styling the site using @media queries and adjusting the sizes of the div containing, or 2) there is something I’m doing wrong in the @media queries.

    Do you have any advice? I do not have the mobile version live yet and I’m working off a local test version so unfortunately I don’t have anything to show you yet. I am just wondering if there is something specific I need to do to get jquery/ditty working when using media queries in CSS?

    I just uploaded my changes to the site. If you remember me from last time you should still have the URL for my site (which I am hesitant to post here). The ticker doesn’t seem to be showing on mobile phone screens but on iPad it shows and animates correctly. I think the ticker is being displayed outside of the container div and I am working on forcing the content of the ticker to be displayed underneath the title so that it will be in view.

    There aren’t any known issues with mobile. If you check out https://dittynewsticker.com you’ll see everything shows up and works fine. I’m guessing you may have a malformed html element or structure somewhere surrounding the ticker that is causing it to display strangely (or not at all).
