I am using amr-ical-events-list to display the contents of two ics files. In events lists, the events are identified with different classes depending on which ics file they came from. In the box calendars (such as the [smallcalendar] shortcode or an [iCal] with a listtype that uses the “Small box calendar” HTML style), I’m not getting these differentiating classes. Is there a way to do that? I’d like to color code events based on which ics file they came from.

whoops forgot i hadn’t replied. I had to go check.

The small calendar only shows days that there are events on. Since the events can come from both ics files or internally, I’m not sure exactly what it is you are asking for here – A day has no single ics file class.

On large calendar box, It is working for me. I’ve added two ics files into here

Class cal0 is the internal events, cal1 and cal2 the two ics files.

Thanks, I’ll see what I can do with css to make the “largecalendar” small enough for what we want.

Essentially, I’d like a little calendar on our library’s main home page that has the days with events from one ics file in one color, and days with events from the other in another. That way, days that just have ongoing events (like special summer hours, which affect every day for weeks, but aren’t really exciting once you’ve read about them once) don’t pop out as much as ones with actual special events (a one-time lecture, for example). Otherwise, all the days will look the same, and nothing will pop. I don’t want to use enough space for a whole large calendar box, but I’ll bet I can do some css magic to make it fit. Thanks.

    Hi

how would you handle days that have BOTH events?

There are pluggable functions, hooks, filters so you could explore and see if you create an add-on that would do what you want it to do.
