Distinguish Categories
-
Hi there,
I’m have a challenge with utilizing categories. The theme I’m using is TheStyle by Elegant themes.
I have several categories in wordpress. For example, I have a link that reads, “Fashion” and sub-links that reads “Shoes” and “Bags”; furthermore, created pages for “Shoes” and “Bags”, so I can point the posts to their locations.
And, I created categories “Fashion” (The main Category), “Shoes”, and “Bags”, as sub-categories.
Whenever I do a post, say for example “How to pick out nice shoes” I want only to post under “shoes” category. And, when I click on the actual post itself it breadcrumbs like this Home ? Fashion ? How to pick out nice shoes, which is fine. I want it to do the same for the bags similar to the breadcrumb I mentioned above (Home ? Fashion ? How to pick out a nice bag), but it posts both the “shoes” and “bags” together on the same post, that’s is not what I want. See, the thing is that both the “bags” and “shoes” fall under the main category “Fashion”.
Is there a way to distinguish between the “shoes” & “bags”, so that each post only goes to its applicable category???
I would greatly appreciate your help.
Thank you very much,
David
