Disqus high server load

Hello everybody!
Recently downloaded Disqus plugin. It is awesome! And I want to use it very much! You have made a good job!
But the problem is, server load increased with the plugin being used. It is really strange, because theoretically plugin should improve site load. And my site has a lot of comments.
I tried to switch off plugin, site load dropped aprox. in 50%, than I turned it on and load increased again.
Maybe some advice? I am using WP Super Cache and database caching there. Maybe some deals with that?
