Displays share buttons on homepage even when unchecked

    I had the buttons displayed in a floating panel on the homepage but as this is a full width slider, they don’t work to share the items in the slider. We have to remove them from the homepage and have the share buttons only display on the posts.

    I have unchecked the “Display at the top of posts on front page” but they are still there. Is there something else I need to do?

    Unchecking the ‘Display in excerpts‘ option should do it.

    This is only necessary for certain themes (and plugins) that handle “excerpts” in their own special way.
