I changed the text for the control box in the configuration. After saving I can verify the text Contactform 7. But when I open the contact form on the website I see the German standard text that comes with the plugin:
“Mit der Nutzung dieses Formulars erkl?rst du dich mit der Speicherung und Verarbeitung deiner Daten durch diese Website einverstanden.”
    My configurated text is:
“Mit der Nutzung dieses Formulars erkl?ren Sie sich mit der Speicherung und Verarbeitung Ihrer Daten durch diese Website einverstanden. %privacy_policy%”

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Same here, but english instead of my own text.

Please try switching it off and on again. Let me know if it’s still an issue.

Oh and, you’re not allowed to add the %privacy_policy% placeholder to the Contact Form 7 forms, as mentioned directly underneath the setting field. This is due to plugin restrictions by Contact Form 7. There’s nothing we can do about it unfortunately, as we rely on the possibilities within these plugins.

    It’s still an issue.
I tried to switch the plugin offand on again for the contact form. I get the same effect with the wrong text.
When I deactivite the complete plugin, contact form displays the source code that is stored in the contact form which is the text I want to have:
[wpgdprc “Mit der Nutzung dieses Formulars erkl?ren Sie sich mit der Speicherung und Verarbeitung Ihrer Daten durch diese Website einverstanden.”]
After activating the plugin again I get the same standard text as before.
The plugin seems to override the stored data while rendering the form.

    I removed %privacy_policy%

Strange. Could you tell me if the setting field itself is updated with your text?

What Contact Form 7 version do you use?

I use version 5.0.1 but the problem is solved now.
It might have been a special issue with the Avada Theme. I installed an update to Avada 5.5.1 and for Fusion Core and Fusion Builder as well.
I don’t know if there is a correlation but now I can change the text and it works on the website.
    Thank you for your work!

Ah, good to hear! Let me know if you need any further assistance.
