Displaying venue information

Thank you for your inquiry. Venues are custom taxonomies. These have their own page or permalink (i.e. https://yourwebsite.com/venue/my-venue); and, It is on the venue page screen that the description information is shown.

With that in mind, you can add a link (to the venue) within a post, or page, or add it as a menu item.

Hi, thanks for your response. It’s still not working for me however.

Within Events in the dashboard I created a couple of venues, one of which was Shillito Woods Car Park.

I tried to browse to the url https://learningwpforfun.co.uk/venues/shillito-woods-car-park, but the page could not be found.

Am I doing this correctly?

Hi, I’ve tried both venue and venues. If I use “venue” in the url I am taken to my site’s homepage. Is this feature just for pro version users or should it work with the free version as well?

Thanks for your response, and I apologize for the confusion.

Yes, you’re correct. Unfortunately, the Venue and Organizer pages are only available with the Events Calendar PRO plugin.

However, your desired use-case scenario may be possible with some custom coding, but if you decide to give that a try, please note we cannot provide full support for custom implementations like that.
