displaying thumbnails of particular category

hi ,

i want to display thumbnails of a recent posts with out any text link of a particular category ..

wht i want to do so is i just want to display thumbnails of recent gallery images (i am using next gen) with a hyper link to that particular post.

is there any plugin or code can u suggest for this
