Displaying the contents of a static page on index?

  • Would it be tricky to set up an index page that displays the contents of a static page?

    I’m thinking of doing a sort of mini-CMS, with the site’s main content and an announcements blog on the main page, and loading the content from a wp page would make the content bit easy to edit (and commentable if necessary).

    Any examples on how to do this?
