Hi, I’m using your plugin since some time.
Today after installing updates, google calendar event widget stopped showing specific number of upcoming events (for “Display Events as: list” ). Plugin works when I set the widget to show events from next 100 days or to show all events, but when i want to display next 5 upcoming events, plugin i saying that there is nothing to show. Can you please help me to solve this issue?

This is happening for me as well.

I am using the Google Events Widget, displaying events as “List” and number of Events=3. The result is “No events to display.” I switch to Grouped List or Custom Date List and it’s the same. Grid view shows the month but no dates are linked.

If I switch from Number of Events=3 to Number of Days=1, I can see all the events for today.

I also have an instance of GCE using “Widgets for Shortcodes” and pasted into a page. Same situation: Using Number of Events=(any number) results in “No events to display” but using Number of Days = whatever results in success.

It was working fine before I updated this morning.

We just pushed 2.2.1 to fix some issues with the CSS/JS and the calendar ID encoding. Please try updating to that and then let me know if you are still having troubles after that.

    Thanks!

    Hi,
Unfortunately I still have this problem. But maybe short descpription of this waht happen after instaling new update will help. before that I need to mention something… After discovering the issue I downgrade the plugin to previosu version(2.1.7) to have neded functionality.

So today I update the plugin to V2.2.1. After instaling the update everything was working fine. Next I go to widgets and open settings tab of the Google Calendar Events Widget. Everything was looking fine, all settings looks like they should. I pressed “save” button and check it again. From this moment plugin start to saying that there is no upcoming events.

I don’t know if you use any caching software .. I use W3TC. I found that I had to empty the Object Cache each time I changed a setting in GCE. That would make my changes ‘live’. Good luck! v2.2.1 did solve my ‘Number of Events’ issue.

If you are only using a widget, you will still need to clear the feed cache from the main feed settings.

I updated to 2.2.1 and cleared the cache on all of my feeds (13 of them). No change.
Number of Events=3 still yields “No events to display.”

I had the same problem and found that when editing my feed, I had Events per Page set to Number of Days but my widget was set to Number of Events. I changed the feed to Number of Events and saved it and now it seems to be working. Maybe this will help somebody else.

vherbine, you are absolutely RIGHT! That was the issue with me. My 13 feeds were all set to number of days instead of number of events but my widget was number of events. Changing the feed settings worked. I’m so glad it’s a simple fix.
