    Hi Tobias,

I know TablePress can, dependent on shortcode, display certain row numbers from a table.

But my data is arranged in alphabetical order by name, and the tables often change with the addition of new names. So if I have a shortcode set to display, say, rows 4, 5 and 6, if a new name is inserted between them (and row 6 then becomes row 7) is there any way around having to change each instance in the shortcodes I have?

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

No, sorry, automatically adjusting the Shortcode is not possible ??

One idea, depending on your data, could be to switch to a filtering-based approach, e.g. with the TablePress Row Filtering Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/row-filter/
With that, you could e.g. add an extra (but hidden) column to your table that contains a filtering keyword that is used to determine whether that row shall be visible.

    Regards,
    Tobias
