Displaying pages as articles

Hi there i’m trying to get on to my homepage a list of all pages on my site, it’s pretty easy to get the page name and link, but i’m wondering if it’s possible with the current wordpress codex to display an image for each page which would come from a custom field in the page.

So in laymans terms.

>> User creates new page uploads an article image into a custom field

>> This new page then displays as the article image on the home page with a link to the new page.

I’ve got another template which then pulls in each pages category slug via another custom field.

I’ve searched the net for a method to bring page metadata into another pages template with no joy..

any advice will be greatly helpful
