Displaying nested ACF Fields in Excerpt Content

  • I’m trying to get content from a text block within a block layout within a Flexible Content field in ACF to display within the excerpts of my search results.

    I do currently have top-level fields showing up successfully, by using relevanssi_excerpt_content and get_post_meta. I’m just not sure how to augment that code to dig deeper into the array.

    I don’t need an all-inclusive option (i.e. I’m okay with specifying the exact fields I want to show up) but I don’t know how to get them to display. Any ideas?

    You’re on the right track, but since I have no idea how the flexible content fields actually work, I can’t help you further with this. It might be helpful to ask on the ACF support forums, since this is not specific to Relevanssi. If you have a way of reading the deeper contents on the array, then you already know how to use relevanssi_excerpt_content to add that data to the excerpts.
