• Hi there,

I have a client with a physical store that uses I-Cash as their inventory platform. They want the same inventory to be used on WooCommerce and to synchronize their inventory between the physical and online stores so that when a product is sold online, it will also reflect the inventory in the physical store.

I have seen that I-Cash has a WooCommerce plugin. However, they do not hold information on images and descriptions for the products.

So my question is: How does the connection between the inventory system of I-Cash as a plugin work with showing the products on WooCommerce, both on the browse page and the individual product page? Specifically, if I have product “A” with an SKU code, how can I add additional information and images that accompany that product so that they can be displayed correctly?

My apologies if this doesn’t make sense. I just really need some help understanding how to display the products after the inventory has been connected as a plugin and where the additional information and photos for each product are added.

    Please help me!

    Kindest Regards,
    Robbie

    Hello robbieradev

Thank you for contacting Woo support.

How does the connection between the inventory system of I-Cash as a plugin work with showing the products on WooCommerce, both on the browse page and the individual product page?

I am not familiar with the I-Cash plugin but most commonly API connections are used for communication between WooCommerce and Inventory Management Systems.

Specifically, if I have product “A” with an SKU code, how can I add additional information and images that accompany that product so that they can be displayed correctly?

Are you asking about how to add additional information and images to the inventory management system? If that is the case, It would be better to ask the inventory management system support team.
They will be better equipped to answer this question.

I just really need some help understanding how to display the products after the inventory has been connected as a plugin and where the additional information and photos for each product are added.

My understanding is that either the team that created the inventory management system can help you achieve your goal or you will need to consult a web developer who can write custom code.

Let me know if you have any more questions. ??

    Best regards.

It is to do with being able to display those products on a browse or product page. However, I’ve been told by the I-Cash support team that one would be able to add the additional product details on the WooCommerce side. My question is regarding on how the connection is made to the front-end side if that plugin exists and is already connected to the WooCommerce website to add additional information and photos, which I can then display on the website.

I have been told be the I-Cash team that one can then manage the products on WooCommerce thanks to the connected plugin. But I just wanted to ask how that connection is made afterwards and if it would typically just use the SKU code for that? It is myself that would be building the website using a woocommerce theme. ??

    Many thanks, Robbie

Thank you for reaching back, clarifying things further @robbieradev .

Best to reach out to the support channel at I-Cash, about this, as they would be in a better position to assist you.

To clarify, the inquiry is related to functionality outside the core WooCommerce plugin that is supported in this forum.

I trust this provides clarity. If you have more questions, let us know.

    We’re happy to help.
