Displaying Images in Sidebar with text widget
-
Hi,
I’ve added a sidebar and it’s widget activated.
I have a number of images I want to dipslay in the sidebar and am following the instructions here:
https://faq.wordpress.com/2006/10/18/put-an-image-in-your-sidebar/I have the images uploaded and have their url, then copy and paste the code into the text widget like this:
<img
scr=”https://localhost/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2007/04/p1.gif”/>(Note: I’m using wordpress on my own computer as a local host – not sure if that makes adifference)
Now, no matter what image urls I put in there, like p1.gif for example the sidebar will always display the H2 graphic that is used by the template instead of any other gifs or jpegs i’ve selected.
I’ve tried this with various widget ready templates and the results are always the same.
In this screen shot you can see the graphic under the calender is the templates H2 graphic rather than a different gif that I’ve uploaded and pasted the url into the text widget.

Any help appreciated.
