Hello, thank you for this wonderful plugin! I am setting up a website to share thousands of old photos that I have digitized, but I would like to be able to include more than a description as shown when using lightbox. I am linking from Flickr and can see the metadata there, but would like it to also show on my website. Is this something that can easily be done by changing the shortcode somewhere? Or a feature request for the future?

    Thank you!
    Juliette

This would actually be a feature request, and a non-trivial one at that, meaning the technical challenges might be too difficult to overcome.

The issue here is that out of the 15 lightbox scripts that Photonic supports (which cover most of the open-source lightbox scripts out there), probably one or two (LightGallery and maybe Fancybox3) might have the real estate for additional information. This makes it very difficult to add additional information. E.g. In most cases I cannot even show the title and the description separately, if a particular platform supports it – it is generally one or the other, rarely both.

Until the lightbox landscape matures to add more real estate, this feature would be hard to implement.
