Displaying gallery and slideshow issue for nextgen-gallery

I have a portfolio site in where I have one page with an album listing several galleries within. I want the gallery thumbnails to link directly to the slideshow function, NOT the image list. You have an option to “show first” in the options and you can select the slideshow. However, I have another page with posts that I wish to insert a gallery as an image list directly on the page. But since I have the “slideshow” showing first it just comes up as that even though I put the code [nggallery id=#]. Do you have a fix so that Album thumbnails can go to the slideshow, Yet you are still able to display the image list on other pages?
