Displaying Custom Field Values in Front End

I have set up some custom fields for my posts using the plugin “Advanced Custom Fields”. However, the data that I’ve entered into the fields is not visible in the Front End. I tried editing the single.php file by adding the code
get_field('custom_field');
but it doesn’t seem to be working probably because I didn’t add it in the correct place.Can someone please direct me which is the correct file to edit and where to add the code? By the way,I’m using the BeTheme and here is the link to my website.
