Displaying Author name and Time

This is probably a question posted here many times before by “Newbies” like me. So I will say apologies in advance!

I am trying to find out how to display the author name and time on each item posted. Currently, it is showing only the date.

Also, I wanted to find out how to display small images on the sidebar. I knew how to this when I used older version of WP.

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.
