Display WordPress Posts (Jetpack) not updating

Hi David,

In the other thread, you mentioned https://tronahistory.com/ and https://trona-high-alumni.com/ . Which site is supposed to be displaying posts from which?

Before I gave up and remved the widgets https://tronahistory.com/ and https://trona-high-alumni.com/ both displayed posts from https://trona-ca.com and https://trona-high-alumni.com/ also displayed posts from https://tronahistory.com/. My attempts to have https://trona-ca.com display posts from the other two sites seemed to crash my theme so I didn’t mention that so as to not add more complexity to the issue.

On our end, both sites seem to be properly connected to WordPress.com and thus, the widget should work. If you’re willing to try again, please add the widgets back, and let me know when you’ve done so, and I’ll take another look and try to troubleshoot.

Widgets are back just the way they were on both sites. On tronahistory.com you will have to go to a post or page. The theme has no sidebar on main page. I’ll check back with you tomorrow.

Hi! I see the widget successfuly pulling in posts here:

It is pulling posts from https://www.trona-ca.com/ and there is a 2nd widget pulling posts from https://trona-high-alumni.com/

On https://www.trona-ca.com/ I don’t see the widget anywhere, though.

By the way, what a fascinating treasure trove of pictures on these sites! I looked at the map on https://www.trona-ca.com/trona-map/ and I found it fascinating how the Map view shows all this blue, and the Satelite view shows basically a dry lakebed, so I decided to read up on your town. What an interesting place!

https://trona-high-alumni.com/ and https://tronahistory.com/ both have two widgets.

https://www.trona-ca.com/ does not at this time. I see only one working pulling from https://www.trona-ca.com/ one both sites. This is one more than when I removed them. I will add a post today to see if it updates.

I added the widgets back to https://trona-ca.com this morining.

https://trona-high-alumni.com is displaying both of the other sites. The other two sites are displaying each other but neither one is displaying https://trona-high-alumni.com.

I feel we are making progress. I will try adding posts to each site later today to see if it updates if I have time.

It looks like all three sites are now pulling in the other two sister sites. I added a post to trona-ca.com and the new post was pulled in on both the other sites. It may take me a few days before I can add posts to the other two sites. in order to test them.

I should add that I really appreciate all the effort you put into this plugin.

So, is everything working well now?

I’m glad you asked. It does update the new posts. I still get ” We cannot load blog data at this time.” quite a lot. But then if I check later on it seems to have pulled the posts up.

If I understood why that was happening I might be more trusting. So from my point of view, maybe 80-90% working well.

If you continue to get the error message, could you let me know? Other users sporadically have this issue as well but we haven’t nailed down why it happens.
